My name is Vin, I'm a filmmaker, founder, and builder. The project seeks to form a fundamental understanding of needs, then addresses these needs by creating new systems, communities, and infrastructure. Learnings and insights from the project are shared broadly to benefit the wider community. #### [[Futureland]] Founded a technology company developing software to track progress on any aspect of your life. It enables higher self awareness, illuminates patterns in one's daily behaviour, increases efficacy in skill acquisition, and supports the completion of long term projects. [Visit futureland.tv](https://futureland.tv) #### [[Shopify]] Created an internal studio to expand and upgrade Shopify's storytelling on all levels, worked directly with Tobi, critical assistance in success of IPO through documentary filmmaking, oversaw the production of compelling animated and original content. #### [[High Frequency Output]] I made music, wrote code, and designed an interface for 365 consecutive days each. This output totalled 21 hours of music and lead to the creation of my current startup, Futureland. Prior to this experiment, I had not made music, written code, or designed an interface in my life. How can someone like me transform their physical presence and capabilities while building complex creative work? What's possible in terms of athletic development, aesthetic improvement, and cultural immersion at this stage of life? 2. How can marriage and parenthood be sites of continuous growth and joy while building an ambitious creative life? What does it mean to deeply develop both love and work? 3. How can silliness, comedy, and play be cultivated as essential elements of a creative life? What does it mean to become masterful at maintaining lightness while doing serious work? 4. What is truly possible in terms of cross-domain expertise development? How quickly can someone genuinely build deep competence across multiple fields with current tools and approaches? 5. How does technology creation fit into my broader work as someone who explores, synthesizes, and tells stories? What role should building software and technical projects play in my creative practice? 6. How can urban creative environments be systematically shaped, and how can my identity and storytelling authentically expand into broader creative fields? 7.
